Orion HIPPS specializes in the design, manufacture, and certification of High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems — a class of safety instrumented system (SIS) used to protect pipelines, vessels, and process equipment from dangerous overpressure conditions. Their systems are independently certified to SIL 2 and SIL 3 in accordance with IEC 61511 and IEC 61508.
HIPPS systems are deployed as an alternative or complement to conventional pressure relief devices in applications where flaring or venting is not permissible, or where the consequences of overpressure are severe. Orion HIPPS solutions are engineered for upstream wellheads, subsea tiebacks, gas processing facilities, and downstream refinery units.
